The problem: your capital runs on paper
A family office decides on millions with documents read by hand. The data room, the side letters, the tax opinions, the bank statements, the board packs and the KYC files arrive at once, and each adviser reads the part that concerns them. Legal reads the shareholders' agreement. Tax reads the structure. Finance reads the accounts. Separately, and against the clock.
Nobody reads it all against the family itself: its entities, its mandate, the tax residency of each beneficiary and every deal it has done before. That is where the expensive surprises hide. A clause that only matters because of how the family holds the stake. A revenue line that only looks strong until you see who the customers are. One missed footnote can cost millions.
What the twin finds in a demo deal
In the Varela Family Office demo (DIFC, illustrative names and figures), the family is asked to answer on Project Atlas, a €40m Series B with a 512-page data room. The twin reads it together and returns five findings, each cited to its page:
- €0 for the family on any exit under €120m. A 2x liquidation preference in footnote 14 on page 245 of the shareholders' agreement.
- Q4 revenue up 31%, mostly from related parties. 64% came from two affiliated customers, in note 9 of the management accounts.
- One beneficiary's tax up 12 points. Holding through the UAE entity takes Mateo from 31% to 19% and leaves everyone else the same.
- Two undisclosed lawsuits. naming a co-founder, found in court registries in four countries.
- A spoofed €480k wire request, blocked. in the inbox before anyone acted on it.
The result is a 2-page memo with a fit score of 41/100, the red flags and the questions to put to the founders, in minutes rather than weeks.
Who a family office digital twin is for
- Single and multi-family offices. that invest directly and want every deal read against the whole family.
- Investment firms and funds. whose committees need a clear record of what was known and decided.
- Private banks and wealth managers. serving families with many entities across several jurisdictions.
- Principals and next-generation family members. who want one honest view of what they own.
What we build
A private model of the family, joined to the places its information already lives.
Connect. Read-only links to email, the document store, data rooms, banks and custodians, fund administrators and the accounting system.
Read. Document AI over PDFs, scans, spreadsheets and email, in several languages. Every page is indexed and every clause is tied to its source.
Model. An entity and ownership graph: people, holding entities, trusts, accounts, tax residencies, the mandate and every past deal.
Analyse. Legal, finance, tax and compliance agents read the whole data room together and score every clause against the mandate.
Explain. Ask in plain language. "What do we get if they sell for €100m?" comes back with the number and the clause it relies on.
Decide. Memos and investment committee votes are recorded with conditions and owners, with a full audit trail. After the deal, the twin keeps watching the portfolio for runway, liquidity and covenant alerts.
The same twin runs the day to day: a wealth cockpit across every entity and asset class, an inbox that reads and sorts every email and drafts the replies, and tax per beneficiary for every structure.
Inside the family's own perimeter
Family data does not leave the family. The twin runs in your Azure, AWS or Google Cloud tenant, on your own servers, or fully air-gapped with local models. Connectors are read-only, and nothing is sent, signed or paid without a person. Single sign-on over SAML or OIDC, roles for each family member, executive and adviser, and an audit log of every view, question, flag and decision come as standard.
We have built governed AI like this before. Govern Engine runs multi-agent workflows grounded in an institution's own knowledge, with data that never leaves the perimeter. Policy Intelligence answers questions across a government's own documents and cites the source of every answer.
How Codset builds it
We build family office digital twins end to end through our data and digital twins and AI and agentic systems services, with sovereign deployment for families with strict hosting rules. A pilot runs for 90 days:
- Weeks 1 to 2, connect. Read-only access to the sources you choose, and the questions the twin must answer first.
- Weeks 3 to 6, build and test. The entity graph, the agents and the cockpit, tested on a deal you have already closed so your team can check every answer. Usable from week six.
- Weeks 7 to 12, run it live. Your team runs a live deal and the monthly reporting through the twin.
After the pilot, a named delivery lead from the same team supports it, with optional on-call support. The code and IP built for you belong to you. For ongoing work, our teams start with a support retainer from €990 a month, and a dedicated product team from €13,900 a month.

Questions buyers ask
Does the family's data leave our perimeter?
No. The twin runs in your own cloud tenant, on your own servers or fully air-gapped. Connectors are read-only.
Does it replace our lawyers and tax advisers?
No. Your advisers negotiate and sign off. The twin gives them the red flags and the questions to ask, each cited to its page.
How do we know the answers are right?
Every flag cites the document, page and clause. In the pilot we test the twin on a deal you have already closed.
Are the figures from a real family office?
No. They come from a demo family office and are illustrative. A pilot replaces them with your own data.
